  • All information published on this website, including service descriptions, insights and contact details.

Records that may be requested under PAIA

  • Statutory and company records: incorporation documents, statutory registers, minutes.
  • Financial records: annual financial statements, accounting records, tax records.
  • Human resources records: employment contracts, payroll and personnel records.
  • Client records: engagement letters and client files (subject to professional confidentiality and POPIA).
  • Operational records: policies, agreements with service providers, insurance.

Records available under other legislation

Certain records are also available under, among others, the Companies Act 71 of 2008, the Tax Administration Act 28 of 2011, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act 75 of 1997 and the Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995.

5. How to request a record

  1. Complete the prescribed request form (Form 2, available from the Information Regulator's website).
  2. Submit it to the Information Officer with proof of identity, describing the record and the right you seek to exercise or protect.
  3. Pay the prescribed request and access fees where applicable (per the fee schedule in the PAIA regulations).

We will respond within 30 days as required by the Act. If a request is refused, reasons will be given with reference to the grounds of refusal in Part 3 of the Act.

6. Remedies

If you are unhappy with the outcome of a request, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator or apply to court as provided for in the Act.
